Vensolair develops renewable energy projects of various types, in wind, solar, batteries and hydrogen.
Before adopting Explain Markets, Vensolair identified calls for tenders and calls for expressions of interest via a monitoring tool that brought up too many irrelevant markets. Léa ETCHEVERS, in charge of local authorities, shares her feedback with us after the first months of use.
“As a community manager, I am in charge of deploying renewable energy solutions to local public actors. On each project, I work with the person in the region who knows the local context perfectly.
Before Explain, my territorial intelligence consisted mainly of project managers in the regions who gave me information drawn from their meetings with local authorities.
Since I have Explain, I am capturing territorial information directly at the source, which has at least two advantages:
- I cover a wider perimeter, since my monitoring includes areas where our agencies are less present,
- I am much more reactive to news that comes to me without intermediation.
Our old market detection tool lacked precision, it was wasting time on markets that did not concern us. With the Explain Markets solution, it's much better calibrated: we receive all the relevant markets. No more. No less.
The tool is well built, we know where to find the information and it summarizes the whole file. I would say that on average, in 10 minutes, I see if a market is worth studying when I could spend more than half an hour there before.
Professional software that makes you want to connect is rare! Explain is intuitive, it's simple and if that's all, it already makes a big difference with what I've experienced in the past.
Getting started is quick, we are quickly trained and able to manage by ourselves, even if the team remains available if we need it.
The solution Explain Territories responds to other challenges. First, that of arriving ahead of the release of the projects, to participate in the drafting of the specifications and to promote our ability to respond to them.
Then, that of building a tailor-made offer. In the Territories module, I find the context of the AMI, the local elected officials in charge of the project and their political side. I will consult their latest speeches and news to get in touch with a hyper-personalized speech.
Finally, I need to know how competitors position themselves on the territory. Explain alerts me as soon as information comes out in prefectural documents. I know who is present, I know everyone's strengths and weaknesses and I can support where I know that we have cards to play.
The two solutions are really very complementary.
Recently, we saw that an area was going to be classified in ZAER. My colleagues got in touch with the community and built a special relationship. Later, this allowed them to be informed, prior to the release of an AMI, of the dates when the project was going to be formalized. Explain gives us a head start on our competitors.
On the hydrogen activity, our teams are in the discovery phase. At the moment, Explain is helping us to understand this structuring market, to know who are the players who are positioning themselves, the sectors of activity that rely on this new energy. Explain helps us define the right Go-to-Market strategy.”
