Paris, April 25, 2024 — Explain, a French pioneer in the application of AI to public procurement, announces the appointment of Agnès Bazin to its board.
Agnès Bazin, former Development Director at Doctolib where she now has a non-executive role, has a deep knowledge of the digital sector and the growth challenges of startups and scaleups. For nearly a decade, she played a key role in the rapid evolution of Doctolib, contributing to its expansion in France, Germany and Italy, as the company grew from 10 to 3,000 employees. His strategic vision and his experience in building a European software leader like Doctolib will be major assets for the Explain board.
Agnès Bazin expressed his enthusiasm: “By tackling the public procurement sector that they know very well, with strong expertise in AI and a “no bullshit” approach to its real benefits, Explain is building a potential global leader in vertical AI.

Agnès Bazin is one of the driving forces behind the growth of Doctolib where she spent nearly 10 years. As a member of the Executive Committee, she managed a number of subjects for nearly a number of subjects, including Human Resources and International Expansion. She recently took a non-executive role on the scale-up's Mission Works Council, and is active as an investor in impact companies. Agnès holds a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris.
